Coming Home to Safety: Breathwork for Trauma Recovery & Emotional Resourcing

Your body is not your enemy. It is your sanctuary.

For those who have experienced trauma—whether it be betrayal, sexual assault, abusive relationships, or the emotional weight of high-stress professions—this session offers a path toward safety within. Many trauma survivors unconsciously hold their breath or suppress emotions, leading to nervous system dysregulation.

Through slow, grounding breath patterns and somatic resourcing techniques, this session creates space for emotional befriending. We’ll reframe emotions not as enemies but as messengers: anger as a boundary-setter, sadness as a release, fear as a signal. The breath will serve as a bridge between shut-down states and reconnection.

What You’ll Experience:

Resourcing techniques to create internal safety before processing.
Grounding breathwork to prevent overwhelm and anchor you in the present.
Somatic inquiry to explore emotions without judgment.
Choice-based, consent-centered touch practices (optional) to rebuild trust in the body.
Benefits:
✔ Supports nervous system regulation and reduces chronic stress responses.
✔ Helps release suppressed emotions without re-traumatization.
✔ Cultivates a sense of safety and belonging in your own body.
✔ Empowers you with tools to navigate emotional waves.

Designed for survivors and high-impact professionals such as first responders, police, and armed service members.

This session led by Morgan Hallenbeck, certified Somatic Breathwork facilitator. It’s time you discover the healing power that’s already within you. Learn breath techniques to reduce stress and anxiety, conquer limiting beliefs, release stories that no longer serve you, process trauma, gain emotional clarity, reconnect with yourself, deepen your spirituality, and so much more. This session is typically done lying down on your mat. Feel free to bring a pen/journal and wear layered clothing for warmth. Blankets and bolsters will be provided for your comfort.
