Morgan’s experience with yoga began in middle school when she received a book called Yoga Bliss that resulted in her first out of body experience while practicing yogic meditation. This opened the door for her interest in pursuing yoga more deeply, slowly unraveling all of the potential this practice could hold for mind, body, and spirit.
Having been a ballerina training to perform professionally from the age 3, it was a complimentary practice in the studio that already felt like a homecoming to her body. When she was 16, she was involved in a severe car accident that left her with whiplash and 5 herniated discs in her cervical spine, among many other health woes. This resulted in years of exploring holistic and alternative healing modalities in addition to lots of body work and physical therapy. During this time, gentle yoga was not only accessible but very helpful.
In her college years, she took a semester of yoga instruction as a way to grow her knowledge and also explore the capacity to regain both the flexibility and mobility she had lost. Thanks to yoga, she was able to find her edges in practice and expand her physical capabilities beyond what she thought was possible while building strength, too. This allowed her to return to her love of ballet for another 2 years at an advanced collegiate level. “I want people to know that no matter where they’re at physically, yoga can be accessible, enjoyable, and even expansive. What a gift it is that we get to meet our bodies where they’re at and honor them in the process. I’m walking proof that we can heal ourselves and live a full life.”
Morgan left her successful corporate career built on hustle culture to pursue a different way of doing business: soft and intentional entrepreneurship. During this time, she was exposed to the power of breathwork at a retreat and in an instant, the missing piece of her healing journey fell into place. Through embodiment and integration, breathwork collapsed time for her in ways she could have never imagined promoting healing through all layers of the mind-body complex. This miraculous outcome even left her doctors stumped.
While listening to worship music one day, she received a one word message: Healer. This is when she dropped everything she had been building to pursue what she knew was her true calling in life. Morgan is now a trauma-informed breathwork facilitator who focuses heavily on somatic nervous system regulation and building nervous system capacity. She’s also trained to provide energy work during sessions. “My pain was the driving force that led me to the blueprint to heal myself and in turn help others thrive, too.” Morgan received her certification in 2024 after completing an intensive 6-month program where she studied under industry-leading mentors and completed an additional 60 hours of pro-bono facilitation for more than 100 individuals.
Morgan’s business name, Back to Eden, reflects an intent to guide you back to your own personal Eden – a sanctuary of balance and fulfillment that exists within you always; a place where you get to be the gardener of your life, where you get to cultivate all that you desire, and where you get to flourish on your terms. She specializes in helping clients release trauma, reconnect with their emotions, manage anxiety, depression, and chronic pain, along with triggers, limiting-beliefs, inner-child work and more. She believes that the body keeps score and where there is dis-ease in the body, we have room to breathe prana or life-force energy back in.
“I hope that when people come to my classes or events they feel deeply supported, that all of them is welcome, that they are safe, they are held, and that they can finally take off their mask, let the weight of the world roll off their shoulders, and trade it in for inner calm, loving connection, and a supportive community. Peace and vitality lives within us all, we just have to remember how to tap into it from our body (soma) instead of the mental mind.”
